Ngee Ann Cultural Centre

Set up in 2003, the Ngee Ann Cultural Centre comprises the Ngee Ann Kongsi Heritage Hall and Collections Gallery. The former commemorates the entrepreneurial spirit of pioneers from the Ngee Ann Kongsi, a Teochew charitable welfare organisation founded in 1845. Its displays of archives and artefacts, such as account books from the 1920s, elaborate on the Kongsi’s history and its contributions to the development of Singapore.
